Code of Conduct¶
Our pledge¶
We — contributors and maintainers — pledge to make participation in SiftCoder a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community.
Our standards¶
Behaviour that contributes to a positive environment:
- Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward other people
- Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences
- Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback
- Accepting responsibility, apologising to those affected by our mistakes, and learning from the experience
- Focusing on what is best for the overall community
Unacceptable behaviour:
- Sexualised language or imagery, and sexual attention or advances of any kind
- Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, personal or political attacks
- Public or private harassment
- Publishing others' private information (physical or email address) without explicit permission
- Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting
Scope¶
This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces — issues, pull requests, code reviews, discussions — and when an individual is officially representing the project in public spaces.
Enforcement¶
Report instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behaviour to the maintainers at issam@alameh.com. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.
Maintainers will respect the privacy and security of the reporter of any incident.
Enforcement guidelines¶
We follow the Contributor Covenant 2.1 impact ladder for consequences:
- Correction — private written warning, clarification of why behaviour was inappropriate, public apology may be requested
- Warning — warning with consequences for continued behaviour; no interaction with people involved for a specified period
- Temporary ban — temporary ban from any sort of interaction or public communication with the community for a specified period
- Permanent ban — permanent ban from any sort of public interaction within the community
